Use marshrutkas or shared taxis between main towns. Arrange remote mountain access separately and never treat map distance as travel time.

Marshrutkas and shared taxis form the everyday network. They may leave when full rather than by a strict timetable.
Beyond the main road
Trailheads, Song-Kul approaches and remote valleys need a separately confirmed vehicle and current road information.
Protect the route
Allow meaningful time for transfers, stops and weather. A slower line through two bases usually works better than changing location every night.
